What is a Bimetal Bushing?
Bimetal bushings are composite plain bearings constructed from two metallurgically bonded layers. Unlike solid bronze bearings, they utilize a low-carbon steel backing to provide exceptional mechanical strength, while a sintered lead-bronze lining ensures excellent sliding properties and embeddability.
This dual-material structure allows bimetal bushings to operate reliably under high load, shock, and oscillating motion--conditions where traditional bronze or polymer bushings often fail.
Steel Backing
Provides structural integrity, high load capacity, and shock resistance.
Bronze Alloy Layer
Sintered CuPbSn alloy offers low friction, wear resistance, and debris embeddability.

Optional Features
- Oil Grooves (Diamond, Spiral, Circular)
- Oil Holes for Lubrication
Why Choose Bimetal?
Superior performance characteristics compared to standard solid bronze or polymer bearings in heavy-duty applications.
High Load Capacity
Steel backing prevents deformation under heavy radial loads, supporting up to 140 MPa.
Shock Resistance
Absorbs mechanical stress and vibration, ideal for excavators and impact machinery.
Extended Life
Bronze lining resists seizure and wear, significantly reducing maintenance downtime.
Heat Dissipation
Metallurgical bond ensures efficient thermal conductivity in high-temp environments.
