Why Choose Solid Metal?

Unlike composite or wrapped bearings, solid bronze and brass bushings offer superior load capacity, machinability, and resistance to shock loads. They are the backbone of heavy-duty equipment.

High Load Capacity

Designed to withstand heavy static and dynamic loads where plastic or wrapped bearings might deform.

Custom Machinability

Easily machined to custom dimensions, allowing for specific fits, flanges, and complex geometries.

Recyclability & Value

Solid metal bearings retain scrap value and are environmentally friendly compared to disposable plastics.

Material Selection Guide

Choosing between Brass and Bronze depends on speed, load, and lubrication.

Brass Alloys

C26000 / C36000
Brass Bushing
  • Excellent machinability and cost-effective.
  • Good corrosion resistance in water/air.
  • Lower load capacity than bronze.
Hardness: 60-80 HB
Tensile: 300-400 MPa

Bronze Alloys

SAE 660 / C93200
Bronze Bushing
  • The industry standard for general purposes.
  • Excellent anti-friction properties.
  • High wear resistance under heavy loads.
Hardness: 80-150 HB
Tensile: 250-500 MPa
Material Common Grade Characteristics Typical Application
Leaded Tin Bronze C93200 (SAE 660) Excellent machining, good anti-friction General machinery, pumps, bushings
Aluminum Bronze C95400 High strength, corrosion & wear resistant Heavy equipment, marine parts, gears
Manganese Bronze C86300 (SAE 430B) Very high load, requires reliable lubrication Bridge pins, hydraulic cylinders

Custom Parts

Standard Straight Sleeves

Precision turned ID/OD, available in metric and inch sizes.

Flanged Bronze Bearings

Handles both radial and axial loads. Single piece construction.

Custom Oil Grooves

Figure-8, Double Loop, Straight, or Circular grooves for optimal lubrication.

Spherical Plain Bearings

For oscillating movements and misalignment compensation.

OEM Custom Parts

Thrust washers, wear plates, and complex CNC components.

Machining & Customization

We don't just sell raw material; we engineer the finish. Solid bronze bushings often require specific oil groove patterns to distribute lubricant effectively across the sliding surface.

01

Oil Groove Patterns

We machine all standard patterns: Figure 8, Double Loop, Straight Axial, Circular, and Wick feed grooves.

02

Graphite Plugging

For self-lubricating applications, we drill and plug solid bronze with graphite lubricant (Oil-free operation).

03

CNC Turning & Milling

From Ø10mm to Ø500mm. Tolerances to 0.01mm. We machine from continuous cast bars or centrifugal castings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between cast bronze and sintered bronze?
Solid cast bronze is machined from a solid bar and is much denser, capable of handling higher impact loads. Sintered bronze is porous and oil-impregnated, better for high speeds and lighter loads where self-lubrication is key.
Do you have a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
Yes, as a factory, we focus on B2B volume production. Our typical MOQ for custom machined bronze bushings starts at 100-500 pieces depending on the size and complexity. We do not sell single pieces for retail.
Can you manufacture to my drawing?
Absolutely. OEM manufacturing is our core business. Please provide PDF or CAD drawings (STEP/IGES) specifying dimensions, tolerances, material grade, and oil groove requirements.
