Solid Bronze & Brass Bushings
Precision CNC machined sliding bearings. From standard SAE 660 bronze to high-tensile brass alloys. We deliver tight tolerances, custom oil grooves, and consistent batch quality for industrial machinery.
Tolerance control up to IT6/IT7. Custom oil grooves and graphic impregnation available.
Why Choose Solid Metal?
Unlike composite or wrapped bearings, solid bronze and brass bushings offer superior load capacity, machinability, and resistance to shock loads. They are the backbone of heavy-duty equipment.
High Load Capacity
Designed to withstand heavy static and dynamic loads where plastic or wrapped bearings might deform.
Custom Machinability
Easily machined to custom dimensions, allowing for specific fits, flanges, and complex geometries.
Recyclability & Value
Solid metal bearings retain scrap value and are environmentally friendly compared to disposable plastics.
Material Selection Guide
Choosing between Brass and Bronze depends on speed, load, and lubrication.
Brass Alloys
C26000 / C36000- ✓ Excellent machinability and cost-effective.
- ✓ Good corrosion resistance in water/air.
- ✓ Lower load capacity than bronze.
Bronze Alloys
SAE 660 / C93200- ✓ The industry standard for general purposes.
- ✓ Excellent anti-friction properties.
- ✓ High wear resistance under heavy loads.
| Material | Common Grade | Characteristics | Typical Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leaded Tin Bronze | C93200 (SAE 660) | Excellent machining, good anti-friction | General machinery, pumps, bushings |
| Aluminum Bronze | C95400 | High strength, corrosion & wear resistant | Heavy equipment, marine parts, gears |
| Manganese Bronze | C86300 (SAE 430B) | Very high load, requires reliable lubrication | Bridge pins, hydraulic cylinders |
Product Shapes & Types
Machining & Customization
We don't just sell raw material; we engineer the finish. Solid bronze bushings often require specific oil groove patterns to distribute lubricant effectively across the sliding surface.
Oil Groove Patterns
We machine all standard patterns: Figure 8, Double Loop, Straight Axial, Circular, and Wick feed grooves.
Graphite Plugging
For self-lubricating applications, we drill and plug solid bronze with graphite lubricant (Oil-free operation).
CNC Turning & Milling
From Ø10mm to Ø500mm. Tolerances to 0.01mm. We machine from continuous cast bars or centrifugal castings.
