What is a Graphite Plugged Bushing?
Also known as Solid Lubricant Bearings or Oilles Bearings, these bushings combine the high load-bearing capacity of a copper alloy matrix with the self-lubricating properties of special solid graphite plugs.
During operation, a thin lubrication film is generated by friction heat, transferring the solid lubricant from the plugs to the sliding surface. This allows for excellent performance even in dry running conditions or where oil maintenance is difficult.

Base Material
High-tensile Brass (CuZn25Al5) or Aluminum Bronze provides structural integrity and load support.
Solid Lubricant
Graphite + Additives embedded in 20-30% of surface area. Forms a transfer film to reduce friction.
