Engineered for Stability
Composite bushings (often referred to as DU/DX type bushings) are multi-layered sliding bearings designed to bridge the gap between traditional lubricated bearings and dry sliding requirements.
By bonding a porous bronze sinter to a steel backing and impregnating it with a PTFE or POM polymer mixture, we create a bearing that offers high load-carrying capacity, excellent heat dissipation, and long service life--often without any additional lubrication.

Material Structure & Types
Choose the right material composition based on your lubrication conditions.
Dry Running / Maintenance-Free
The PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) based layer allows for operation without oil. Ideal for applications where lubrication is difficult, impossible, or where cleanliness is required (e.g., food machinery, textiles).
Boundary Lubrication / Pre-Lubricated
The POM (Acetal) sliding layer features grease indents (pockets) to retain lubricant. This significantly extends lubrication intervals and allows for higher speeds and impact loads compared to PTFE types.
Sliding Layer (PTFE or POM)
The friction-reducing surface. PTFE for dry running, POM for boundary lubrication.
Porous Bronze Sinter
Bonds the sliding layer to the steel backing and conducts heat away from the bearing surface.
Steel Backing
Provides mechanical strength, high load capacity, and dimensional stability.
Tin/Copper Plating
External corrosion protection (optional).
